DABA Presents an Exclusive Dogpatch Design Tour Inside Minnesota Street Project

The October 8 event offers intimate conversations with gallerists and artists, including a special visit to the new Ruth Asawa Lanier, Inc. gallery

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — September 2026 — The Dogpatch Art & Business Association (DABA) will present the second installment of its Dogpatch Design Tour on Thursday, October 8, from 4–6 PM, featuring a special behind-the-scenes experience at Minnesota Street Project in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood.

Dogpatch Design Tour: Inside Minnesota Street Project — Conversations with Gallerists & Artists will offer a limited number of guests the opportunity to visit select galleries and hear directly from gallerists and featured artists about their current exhibitions, creative processes, and the ideas and stories behind their work.

A highlight of the afternoon will be a special visit to the newly opened Ruth Asawa Lanier, Inc. gallery, dedicated to the work and legacy of renowned San Francisco artist Ruth Asawa. Guests will be hosted by Henry Weverka, Asawa’s grandson and President of Ruth Asawa Lanier, Inc., offering a rare opportunity to hear firsthand from a family member about Asawa, her work, and her extraordinary legacy.

Rather than a traditional gallery walk, the event centers on conversation and personal interaction. The small-group format will allow participants to engage directly with the people who create, curate, and present the art on view at Minnesota Street Project.

After the gallery visits, DABA will offer refreshments at the brand-new 1275 Café, located within Minnesota Street Project.

The October event follows DABA’s successful spring Dogpatch Design Tour and supports the organization’s ongoing effort to introduce residents and visitors to the artists, designers, makers, businesses, and cultural institutions that have helped make Dogpatch one of San Francisco’s most distinctive creative neighborhoods.
