Small Business Advisory Council: Shop Local

Small Business Advisory Council
"Shop Local"
What does it mean to a Small Business and San Francisco?
Mayor Edwin Lee's Shop & Dine in the 49 is a shop local campaign challenging residents to do all their shopping and dining within the 49 square miles of San Francisco and to promote local business districts to visitors from near and far.
SF Biz Connect
SF Biz Connect is an initiative of Mayor Edwin Lee to encourage local spending within the business community. The Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) in partnership with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce have developed this site to help facilitate this interaction.
Small Business Saturday
In 2010, American Express founded Small Business Saturday to help businesses with their most pressing need - getting more customers. The day happens every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and encourages people to shop at the small businesses that help write the story of America.
The event will also summarize results from a recent poll reflecting neighborhood business perception of what it means to "shop local".
The Chamber’s Small Business Advisory Council (SBAC) is your best source for discussion and presentations on current small business policy issues and regulations. SBAC attendees
provide valuable recommendations to the full Public Policy Committee and have the
opportunity to ask questions of the advocacy team regarding changes in laws that
may impact their business.
