About this Event
Goal is to help job-seekers get over the inertia, helplessness, negative feelings you might have in your job search with the continuing environment of uncertainty.
Give you simple, science-based practices to help you create a sustained, positive mindset that will benefit you professionally and personally.
Two great executive coaches will provide job hunters and career chargers with a unique, science based way, to do better and be better at your job search!
Topics will include:
- Job searching makes it easy to get stalled, feel like you are stuck in this continuing uncertainty, that you have little control over your search
- How can you create more agency and positive action in your search
- How do your thoughts influence your success – awareness of what you are thinking; the stories we tell ourselves, the beliefs we have that might be holding us back
- The Neuroscience of Positive Thoughts: Describe 2 different neural networks/states (in simple terms) and how they affect our thoughts and behaviors
- Offer you some practices that can activate the part of our brains responsible for action, creativity, problem-solving, well-being, personal capacity
- How to “Feed Your Mind” – discussion of where negative thoughts come from, how we can counter-act our natural tendency to default to the negative;
- We don’t just live “above our neck” – how do we take care of our bodies as well
- Share examples of how all of this can be applied to your job search
