SF & Taiwan: Economic Development Through Travel
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau will hold a special event on June 3rd at 11:00 am at the Fisherman's Wharf Cable Car turnaround in San Francisco. The event is designed to encourage economic development between the city of San Francisco and Taiwan, as well as highlight the fantastic tourism opportunities in both regions. Hsi-Lin Liu, Deputy Director General of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in charge of International relations, along with Jim Wunderman, President and CEO of the Bay Area Council, and Nicholas Lindsey, Senior Manager of AAA Travel's exclusive Sojourns, will briefly discuss the new, expanded tour and travel options for those looking to travel to Taiwan, one of the world's best kept secret destinations. For years, Eva Air and China Airlines have been offering affordable flights to Taiwan with exceptional service, and now United Airlines has joined as the newest provider to offer non-stop direct flights to the Heart of Asia. Members of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau will be on hand to offer members of the public free cable car ride tickets (first come, first serve).
