The Golden State Warriors plan to build a state-of-the-art new sports and entertainment center on a 12-acre site in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood. In addition to being the new home of the Bay Area’s NBA team, the Warriors’ new 18,000-seat arena will host concerts, family shows, convention activities and other cultural events.
The sports and entertainment center will be entirely privately financed, without any public funding. The project will also trigger the construction of a long-awaited 5 ½-acre waterfront park, and represents one of the last major pieces of the Mission Bay Plan.
