Public Policy Forum:
City College Update with Chancellor Mark Rocha
San Francisco has always been a leader in innovation, and now we're the first city in the nation to offer free college tuition. Join us at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, August 8 for a Public Policy Forum introducing the newly appointed chancellor of City College of San Francisco, Dr. Mark Rocha, Ph.D., M.Engr.
Chancellor Rocha, Trustee John Rizzo and Trustee Shanell Williams will provide an update on City College and an overview of the groundbreaking Free City initiative. Free City is a partnership between City College and the City & County of San Francisco making education more accessible to city residents.
On July 1, 2017, Mark Rocha began his service as the 23rd chancellor of City College of San Francisco. For three years prior to his appointment, Dr. Rocha served as senior program manager in the New York Governor's Office of Storm Recovery. In 2006, Mark served as president of West Los Angeles College in the Los Angeles Community College District.
The Forum begins at 12:00 pm on August 8 in the Chamber boardroom. Lunch will be provided thanks to our generous sponsors at Safeway.
