Chief Suhr is a 33-year veteran of the San Francisco Police Department
who was selected as San Francisco’s 42nd Chief of Police in 2011. Chief Suhr
joined the San Francisco Police Department in 1981 and rose through the ranks
becoming Captain of Bayview and Mission Stations and Deputy Chief of Field
Operations, the largest bureau in the Police Department with more than
1,400 officers.
