Raphael House is an organization that assists low-income families and those experiencing homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their mission is to help achieve stable housing and financial independence through personalized, family-centered solutions. Raphael House has been providing community-supported services since 1971 with an impressive success rate, where 90% of families in their Residential Shelter achieve stable housing and 93% maintain that stability long-term through their Bridge Program.
Established in 2005 by local volunteers, including parents and advocates, The 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic originated from a community initiative to provide equitable access to healthcare, employment, and education for the young residents of Bayview Hunters Point in San Francisco. Today, 3rd Street extends its services to over 1,500 youths annually, offering comprehensive support. Additionally, in collaboration with Success Centers, it now manages the Lower Polk TAY Navigation Center at 700 Hyde Street, a gender-inclusive shelter catering to young individuals experiencing homelessness, offering assistance with substance abuse, mental health, education, and employment as they await permanent housing placement.
