Oakland-based soul singer and composer Lilan Kane (LEE - lawn) brings her soulful and sassy sound to The Barnes San Francisco Union Square Hotel every Thursday. She has created a name for herself in the Bay Area and beyond with her soulful smoky voice, and cool yet playful demeanor. Usually backed by her dynamic band, you may have seen her at Yoshis, SFJAZZ, Club Deluxe or almost any other place you can see live music in the area. For this music series, she will perform as a solo artist showcasing a more vulnerable and diverse side of her skill set

A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Kane has sold out numerous residencies at Yoshi's Oakland and SFJAZZ as well as performances at Minton's Playhouse (NYC), Chris's Jazz Cafe (Philly), French Quarter Festival (New Orleans), Concord Pavillion, The Mint (LA), Fillmore Jazz Festival and many others. Her songs have been featured on KCSM, WGBO, Jazziz.com, Soulandjazz.com, Soultracks.com, Thisisrnb.com and others.
Kane has sung with Pete Escovedo Latin Jazz Orchestra, and opened for Hall & Oates, Lenny Williams, Freddie Hughes, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Sharon Jones, Trombone Shorty, and Morgan James.
