This exhibition portrays various scenes from Las Llamadas, highlighting both the instruments and the characters that make up the comparsas (carnival troupes). Through his documentary approach, the artist offers a unique perspective on the cultural impact of the Afro-Uruguayan community on Uruguayan popular culture.

Uruguayan candombe has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and national legislation recognizes it as a fundamental contribution of the Afro-Uruguayan community to Uruguay's musical and cultural heritage, as well as to the promotion of racial equality.
