Go beyond the gallery walls for a rare, behind-the-scenes experience at Minnesota Street Project.
For this special fall edition of DABA's Dogpatch Design Tour, we've arranged an intimate afternoon of art and conversation with some of the people who make Minnesota Street Project one of San Francisco's most exciting contemporary art destinations.
Rather than simply viewing the exhibitions, our small group will be welcomed into select galleries for private conversations with gallerists and artists. We'll hear directly from them about the work on view, the ideas behind it, and the relationship between the artist, the gallery, and the exhibition.
A Special Visit to the New Ruth Asawa Lanier, Inc. Gallery
One of the highlights of the afternoon will be a visit to the newly opened Ruth Asawa Lanier, Inc. exhibition space, dedicated to the work and extraordinary legacy of legendary San Francisco artist Ruth Asawa.
Our group will be personally hosted by Henry Weverka, Ruth Asawa's grandson and President of Ruth Asawa Lanier, Inc., offering a unique opportunity to hear from a member of her family about Asawa, her work, and her enduring connection to San Francisco.
We'll continue through Minnesota Street Project with additional gallery and artist conversations, with participating galleries and artists to be announced.
Afterward, join us for refreshments hosted by DABA at the brand-new 1275 Café inside Minnesota Street Project—a chance to continue the conversation and mingle with fellow art lovers.
This isn't a traditional gallery walk. It's an opportunity to experience Minnesota Street Project through the people who know the art, the artists, and the stories behind the exhibitions.
Whether you're an avid collector, an art enthusiast, or simply curious about contemporary art, no special knowledge is required—just curiosity.
