City Hall Check-In: Small Business Recovery Act

City Hall Check-In: Small Business Recovery Act

Join the Chamber and OEWD's Director of Business Development, Laurel Arvanitidis, for an overview of the Mayor's recently introduced Small Business Recovery Act, which builds on the work of Proposition H to further streamline permitting and allow more flexibility for brick-and-mortar businesses. Staff from the planning department will also be in attendance to assist with any questions.

Laurel Arvanitidis is the Director of Business Development for the City and County of San Francisco's Office of Economic and Workforce Development.  In this role she oversees all business attraction and retention activities for the city.  Laurel has worked for the City and County of San Francisco for 16 years.  Before joining the Business Development Team, Laurel worked for Mayor Newsom's Film and Television Office, working to attract and facilitate the filming of projects including the Pursuit of Happyness, Milk, and Hemingway and Gellhorn.  Laurel was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon.
