Business After Hours presented by Alaska Airlines
October 19 | 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm | Chinese Historical Society of America (CHSA)
The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce invites you to our Business After Hours, presented by Alaska Airlines. Join us as we explore the Chinese Historical Society of America (CHSA) housed in the historically landmarked Julia Morgan-designed Chinatown YWCA building as we experience the, "We Are Bruce Lee: Under the Sky, One Family," exhibit. Make sure to bring your business card for a special opportunity drawing for 2-roundtrip tickets to anywhere Alaska Airlines flies!
About CHSA: The Chinese Historical Society of America collects, preserves, and illuminates the history of Chinese in America by serving as a center for research, scholarship, and learning to inspire a greater appreciation for, and knowledge of, their collective experience through exhibitions, public programs, and any other means for reaching the widest audience.
The Chinese Historical Society of America is proud to present a major exhibition, "We Are Bruce Lee: Under the Sky, One Family," showcasing the vision and values of the world's most celebrated Chinese American. Working with the Bruce Lee Foundation, some of the top collectors of his memorabilia, and a team of artistic innovators, the exhibition launched in Fall 2021 in his neighborhood of birth, San Francisco Chinatown. Bruce Lee's fight against discrimination and his profound engagement in a multicultural society were almost unheard of in his time and offer lessons that are still relevant today, particularly as people around the world are pushing back against xenophobia, racism and social injustice.
