DESCRIPTION:Public Policy Forum:\n\nTransbay Transit Center Phase 1 Update\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us on January 12th as Kumar Kintala and Scott Boule provide an update of the Transbay Transit Center project that will be the "Grand Central Station of the West."\n\nScheduled to open in late 2017\, Phase 1 will feature 103\,300 square feet of retail space\, a prominent digital signage program\, and unique public spaces including a 5.4 acre Rooftop Park serving the Transbay neighborhood and an estimated 37\,000 daily bus passengers. The Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) will be seeking a private partner to operate and manage the Transit Center under a long-term master lease. Kumar will provide an overview of this unique market opportunity.\n\nKumar is a Principal at HR&A Advisors\, a national real estate and economic development consulting firm. He is advising the TJPA on the procurement of a master lessee for the Transbay Transit Center. \n\nScott Boule is the TJPA's Legislative Affairs and Community Outreach Manager. Prior to joining TJPA in 2011\, Mr. Boule served as Senior Appropriations Advisor in the Office of the Speaker throughout Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's tenure as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. \n\nJoin us January 12 to learn more about the Transbay Transit Center project status and its master leasing opportunities.\n\n\nPublic Policy Forum is the Chamber's monthly Public Policy Forum to help partners understand and engage in key issues impacting the business community.
