SUMMARY:Public Policy Forum: Assemblymember Phil Ting
DESCRIPTION:Public Policy Forum: Assemblymember Phil Ting\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us on December 12 as Assemblymember Phil Ting updates us on the latest from Sacramento\, including his work on the state budget\, the state's response to homelessness and housing and possible cannabis legislation at next year's legislative session. Recently\, Assemblymember Ting secured state funds for homeless navigation centers and passed legislation to streamline the building of homeless shelters and create new location-limited alcohol licenses to spur restaurant growth in underdeveloped neighborhood corridors. \n\n\n\nAssemblymember Phil Ting was elected in 2012 and is the chair of the Assembly Budget Committee. He represents the 19th Assembly District\, which spans the Westside of San Francisco as well as the communities of Broadmoor\, Colma\, Daly City\, and South San Francisco. \n\n\n\nWe invite you to join us and remember\, lunch is free thanks to our generous sponsors Safeway. \n\n\nThe Chamber's Public Policy Forums are held monthly to help partners understand and engage in key issues impacting the business community. Forums feature elected representatives\, city department heads\, subject-matter experts and community leaders in a facilitated dialogue on issues of concern. Public Policy Forums are sponsored by Safeway.
