SUMMARY:Public Policy Forum: Affordable Housing Update with Supervisors Tang and Safai
DESCRIPTION:Public Policy Forum:\n\nAffordable Housing Update with\n\nSupervisors Katy Tang and Ahsha Safai\n\n \n\n \n\nJoin us at City Hall on May 17 for a special Public Policy Forum as Supervisors Katy Tang and Ahsha Safai provide updates on two crucial affordable housing programs: the Inclusionary Housing Program and HOME-SF. The Inclusionary Housing Program requires housing developers to contribute to the City's affordable housing stock\; threshold amounts have been the subject of major debates in City Hall. HOME-SF encourages more affordable housing by allowing greater density in certain neighborhood commercial corridors. Supervisors Tang and Safai have taken the lead on both measures.\n\n\n\nPlease note that this forum will be held at City Hall in Room 278\, and due to room size we will cap the number of attendees at 35. \n\n\n\nLunch is free thanks to our generous sponsors at Safeway. \n\n\nThe Chamber's Public Policy Forums are held monthly to help partners understand and engage in key issues impacting the business community. Forums feature elected representatives\, city department heads\, subject-matter experts and community leaders in a facilitated dialogue on issues of concern.
