\n June 3 - First Graduate\, whose mission is to help students become the first in their families to graduate from college\, is celebrating its 20th \;anniversary by saluting its most recent cohorts of college and high school graduates on June 3 during its Cap &\; Gown (virtual) benefit event. Nationally\, only 11% of first-generation students attain a bachelor&rsquo\;s degree. 75% of First Graduate students graduate college within six years. The program recruits students in sixth grade\, so the first cohort graduated from college in 2011. Since then\, 143 students have graduated from college and are working in fields such as tech\, finance\, design\, teaching\, biomedicine\, research\, or in graduate school pursuing advanced degrees.
