DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special BuildSF tour of Mission Rock\, the exciting transformation of San Francisco's Central Waterfront neighborhood.\n\n\n\nMission Rock represents over 16 years of planning and community input to transform 28 acres of asphalt and a historic pier into an exciting new neighborhood and community gathering point for San Francisco residents and visitors. The project is a public-private partnership among the San Francisco Giants\, Tishman Speyer\, and the Port of San Francisco. In 2021\, Mission Rock was certified Gold under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED for Neighborhood Development program in recognition of its innovative and integrated approach to smart growth\, social equity\, and green building practices.
