DESCRIPTION:PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR UPCOMING AUGUST DINNER MEETING\n\nFrom 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm we socialize and enjoy cocktails and appetizers. The dinner and program starts at 6:30 pm\n\nOur August Program features GILLAN SQUIRREL with Working Dogs Working Lives.\n\nWorking with the power of the human-canine bond they help socially excluded and often disadvantaged adults and young people make life changes.  They help them realize that they can have goals and that they have potential.  Through their work with shelter dogs they too benefit\, gaining an improved quality of daily life and increased chances for adoption.\n\n They work with adults and young people with complex psycho-social problems.  Many will have had frequent engagement with human service agencies and will often be considered harder to reach.  With their novel animal-based programs we are able to engage people in learning about themselves and others by working compassionately with another species. \n\nTheir programs include: FoundAtions\, WorkOut and MoveOn and the ways in which we work.
