Supes for Lunch with District 4 Supervisor Katy Tang
Join the Chamber for Lunch With
District 4 Supervisor Katy Tang
Want to know the latest news out of City Hall?
Then join the Chamber for lunch with Supervisor Katy Tang on August 16th.
Katy Tang represents District 4, including the Sunset and Parkside neighborhoods, on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. She was first appointed by San Francisco Mayor Ed in February 2013, then elected in November 2013 and re-elected in November 2014.
In May the Board of Supervisors voted 10-1 to approve Supervisor Tang’s HOME-SF legislation which will provide more opportunities for families to stay, grow, and succeed while maintaining our diverse workforce in San Francisco. This density bonus program adds more housing along transit and commercial corridors by enabling new buildings to add up to two floors to achieve 30% affordability on-site. HOME-SF includes a number of provisions to protect and grow local small businesses in our city’s many neighborhood commercial corridors.
In June the SF Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Supervisor Tang’s lactation accommodation legislation, which sets specific space requirements and processes for new moms wishing to pump breast milk in the workplace.
Supervisor Tang currently serves as Chair of the Board of Supervisors Rules Committee and Vice-Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee.
We invite you to join us and remember: Lunch is free thanks to our generous partners at Ladle and Leaf.
