Supervisor Peskin has introduced legislation to allow the Board to review certain decisions of the SFMTA, modify the process for mayoral question time, and require appointed officials to forfeit their positions after declaring for local or state elected office.
He currently serves on the Board of Supervisors' Government Audit and Oversight and Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee, the California Coastal Commission and the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission.
Supervisor Aaron Peskin represents District 3, which is comprised of North Beach, Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Polk Gulch, Union Square/Financial District and Russian, Nob and Telegraph Hills. He is currently serving his third term on the Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Peskin served two terms from 2001-2009, after which he served as the Chair of the San Francisco County Democratic Party. He was re-elected to the District 3 seat in 2015.
