SF Up; Volunteer at the Presidio
The Golden Gate National Park Conservancy (GGNPC) protects over 80,000 acres of ecologically and historically significant landscapes that stretch from San Mateo to Marin County. The nurseries of the Golden Gate National Parks provide the living link required to restore native plant communities and habitat throughout this 70 mile long national park. Specifically, the Presidio Nursery actively fosters over 125,000 native plants for restoration projects for parks including Inspiration Point, Crissy Field, Dragonfly Creek, and Baker Beach, among others.
Activities may include transplanting seedlings, pruning, composting, seed collecting, and outplanting - please wear close-toed shoes, long pants, and anything you don't mind getting dirty!
