Public Policy Forum: Salesforce Transit Center Rail Connection & Benefits Study
Public Policy Forum: Salesforce Transit Center Rail
Connection & Benefits Study
How do we connect the Bay Area’s fastest-growing neighborhoods? Hear from the SF Planning Department about their Rail Alignment and Benefits (RAB) Study, which is analyzing the best way to bring Caltrain and High Speed Rail to the Salesforce Transit Center – including an exclusive look at their preliminary recommendations.
AnMarie Rodgers, Director of Citywide Policy, and Susan Gygi, Project Manager for the RAB study, will join our monthly Public Policy Forum to answer all of your questions about the findings of the study and get your input on the alignment. This infrastructure project will impact San Francisco for decades to come.
At the forum, AnMarie and Susan will summarize the findings, including a preliminary preferred rail alignment for Caltrain and High-Speed Rail: the Pennsylvania Avenue (DTX + Extended Tunnel). Join us to provide input on the alignment, and the other four study components before the Board of Supervisors review the potential alignments at their July 24th meeting.
AnMarie Rodgers is the SF Planning Department’s Director of Citywide Policy, overseeing a current staff of 50 and a budget of $5.9 million. She is proud to have served SFPlanning for 19 years, winning a US congressional commendation for her work; most of all, she works to make planning policy more just and expansive.
Susan Gygi is the Project Manager for the Rail Alignment and Benefits Study (RAB) with over 25 years of professional engineering and planning experience working on all modes of transportation from planning through design, construction, operations, and maintenance, and for all levels of government.
The July 10 Public Policy Forum begins at 12:00 pm in the Chamber boardroom. Light lunch will also be provided thanks to our generous sponsors at Safeway.
