Public Policy Forum with KATE HARTLEY
Director: Mayor's Office of Housing & Community Development
The MOHCD is responsible for the creation, preservation and protection of San Francisco?s affordable housing portfolio. The agency supports the economic and social development of San Francisco?s low-income communities and provides financing for development and rehabilitation projects.
Along with partnering with market-rate and nonprofit developers to build and preserve affordable housing, MOHCD administers financing programs to assist homeowners and helps San Francisco residents become first-time homebuyers.
Kate Hartley has 25 years of housing experience that includes for-profit and nonprofit development, financial consulting, and public service. Kate currently oversees the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development, which expects to spend almost $1 billion in the next 5 years to provide housing for people experiencing homelessness, seniors, working families, and special needs populations in San Francisco.
This Public Policy Forum begins at 12:00 pm in the Chamber boardroom. Light lunch will also be provided thanks to our generous sponsors at Safeway.
